#Love Over #Nationalism: Kisses to The #Black #Diaspora


I’ve always been intimidated by black nationalism. Not because I disidentify with blackness or fear a collective of black folks in power but instead because nations are, by definition, maintained by the power to impose their will, deploy power/violence and exercise dominion over particular people and resources. I don’t wish this for black folk. I wish us liberation. I wish us love. I wish us fluidity. I love our diaspora.
